MVI is desiged for council meetings

Problem and Opportunity

Municipalities face increasing demands for transparency, equity, accessibility, and inclusive remote participation. Current systems are often highly customized, complex and fragmented, limited to hardware, or not designed for hybrid governance.

Core Problems

  • Meetings are both physical and logical
  • Municipal meetings are governed by law, and follow order
  • Lack of integrated systems across voting, speaking, and agendas
  • Lack of integration between agenda solutions managing data, and the AV solutions expected to manage it
  • Poor remote participation functionality often adapting standard video conferencing like Teams and Zoom, that lack the formality and participation control required for municipal meetings
  • Limited metadata archiving and video record production
  • AV solutions tend to be overly complex and daunting to use, requiring legislative staff to have technical expertise

Often we see over engineered solutions, based in custom code and equipment with an overreliance on AV providers who have limited procedural expertise coding the functionality of the meeting.

Conversely we see solutions developed by agenda management solutions, requiring  cameras, in-room audio, streaming video and indexing but with a complete lack of integration to the AV assets in the room.

MVI AudioVisual bridges the gap between people, technology and data.

Our Solution

A simple configurable software layer, that manages the meeting logic form the perspective of agenda and workflow.

  • Centralized agenda management
  • Fully automated video production, with lower third graphics, speech timers, video streaming and metadata capture
  • Equal request-to-speak and voting access for remote and in-room attendees
  • Archiving, metadata tagging, and export functions
  • An open API with integration to external agenda tools
  • Fully modular software architecture that can scale with client needs
  • Single pane of glass controls that can be easily customized to a users task
  • Compatible with almost all modern conference system
  • Agnostic to AV equipment and uses industry standard video and control protocols for cameras
  • Often MVI AudioVisual allows for modernization without the need for a complete overhaul.
  • Reduced dependency on complex coding by people who may not fully understand procedure
  • Interfaces are template based with configurable profiles making adjustment and customizability simple
  • Ultimately MVI AudioVisual offers the capability to build a solutions that is simple to operate but provides deep connection between all the systems

Secure and hosted in Canada

MVI AudioVisual is not a cloud based solution, it runs on-prem and the meeting information is present only during the session. There is no information hitting the "cloud" and it can run completely disconnected from the internet if desired, offering complete security.

Our remote participation runs only on servers located on Canadian Sovereign Soil, sessions are never hosted in the cloud, sessions are secure video, operating much like a thin secured client and there is no data at rest, or in transit.

Full control over every single meeting participant, in the room our remotely connected.
