Case Study - Region of Durham
Core Requirement
The Region of Durham in Whitby, Ontario was seeking to modernize an aging council chamber. High Definition Video needed to be displayed in the room and to video streams. During COVID the need for Remote participation was identified.

Challenges
The existing Shure DIS Conference System was in good working order, yet the client wished to modernize the workflow during the meeting.
Equipment availability due to supply chain issues would impact the ability to procure equipment.
A busy meeting schedule presented a short window of opportunity to create a specification, tender, procure, install and commission the project.
Solution
MVI AudioVisual Software is agnostic to the AV equipment, it solves for the workflow of the room.
It allowed the Region of Durham to reuse their existing conference solution and still have fully automatic camera control and video production along with full HYBRID remote participation.
The AV distribution solution, audio DSP solutions were able to use best in breed alternatives, thus allowing the project to be tendered and installed within the time allotted to the project.
Today the Region has run hundreds of hours of meetings on their solution, and is our premier reference site for the MVI Audio Visual Software.
